Buy Used Fire Hose

As you may have seen from previous posts, there is a variety of applications with which you can implement previously used fire hoses you've purchased.  From re-using used fire hoses for irrigation purposes, using in plumbing or piping, or even usage for animals or livestock, buying used fire hoses can save you both time and money when used in an applicable category.

When buying used fire hoses, you'll always want to ensure that you're aware of a few best practices or things to look for.  After all, the hoses are used, thus you'll want to insure that their integrity is intact and they can still function properly for whichever application you choose.  Make sure to consider the following recommendations when purchasing:

Size: This will always play a part in your decision when buying.  Both the size of the hose itself, and the size of the area/land with which the hose will function.  International Fire Equipment has a wide variety of hoses to choose from, and can help you with any application.

Material: In buying them from International Fire Equipment, we can ensure that you receive a product made for durable materials and geared towards the specific area in which you'll need the product.  With a wide range of fire hoses constructed from rugged canvas, rubber, steel, braided metal, and other materials, International Fire Equipment can supply what you need.

Construction Method: When buying, you'll want to verify that the construction of the hose and included materials match what you will be using the hose for and what it's rated for.  For example, if you have a small irrigation project that is ongoing, you will likely need one that is not that heavy duty.  On the inverse, if you're regularly going to be using your hose for large irrigation projects, you'll want something of more intricate and durable construction.

Length of Usage:  Before buying it, asking about the life-cycle of the item is a good idea. Some designs last longer than others, but you will always want to know the length of usage on the product prior to it being available for purchase.

Previous Storage Method: When buying them from International Fire Equipment or another provider, you'll want to ensure that you know the product has a history of being stored and properly taken care of.  All products from International Fire Equipment are in sound condition, and have had limited exposure to the elements which could have damaged their integrity (extensive exposure to sunlight, frigid or high temperature climates, etc.)

When buying our hoses from International Fire Equipment, you can always be sure that you'll be getting a high quality product, with specific information about it's previous usage, construction method information, and recommended uses.  Depending on the application for which you'll be using the purchased fire hoses, you may need quite a few or just one or two.  Additionally, if you have purchased a large number of hoses and also need nozzles or fittings, we've got you covered.

  • I’m interested in picking up two 150’ runs of used 3" white canvas fire hose for cheap, but unlike most of your other prospective customers, the hose doesn’t need to be functional!!! I want to use it not to transport liquid, but as a foul line on a baseball field. Can you help?
